All campers will need to bring the following:

  • Toothbrush, toothpaste, soap, comb/brush, washcloth, towel, etc.
  • Clothing for three days including a hooded sweatshirt and warm jacket, as well as rain gear.
  • Flashlight (with camper’s name on it)
  • Sports Bottle for water (with camper’s name on it)
  • Camera (optional)
  • Bible (optional)
  • Size-suitable life jacket (must be Coast Guard Approved). No camper will be allowed on a boat without a life jacket.
  • Sunscreen and Bug Repellant
  • Medications - If your camper requires any medication, including allergy medicine, please notify us in advance and provide written instructions for your camper to bring with him/her.
  • Tent assignment – If your camper has a preference for a tent partner  please let us know in advance.

 What not to bring

  • All food, fishing tackle and tents will be provided for each camper.
  • I-pods, MP3 Players, CD players or electronic game devices-We cannot be responsible for any loss/damage.

Your camper(s) should arrive at Collins Lake on Saturday morning.  Check-in will be from 9:00-10:00 a.m.  No food will be served on Saturday morning so be sure your camper has breakfast before they arrive. The attached release form must be signed by the legal parent/guardian for each camper and turned in at registration on Saturday morning (please do not mail it as we may not receive it in time).

The safety and security of each camper is our primary concern. To that end, all members of the CBAF leadership team and any parents, family members or other individuals who are planning on helping with the camp in any capacity will be required to undergo a background check.  If you are planning on being in camp you will need to notify the CBAF leadership by 4-30-12.  You can call us at 209-852-0157 or email us at pbakerfam@aol.com. Please provide us with your full name, address and date of birth for the background check.  This information will be kept in strictest confidence and will only be available to two of the CBAF leaders who are conducting the checks.  A wristband will be issued to all campers, approved leaders and helpers to allow access to the camp area.  Please understand that anyone who is not wearing a wristband will not be allowed in the group camp area.  The CBAF staff will provide two-man security teams on duty throughout Saturday night.

If you have any questions regarding this letter or the CBAF Kid’s Bass Camp please be sure to contact us at 209-852-0157 or email us at pbakerfam@aol.com.

Yours truly,
